I’m Lily Coan, a Concept and Product AI Designer.
I am currently studying Art and Entertainment Technology with a Business minor at the University of Texas at Austin. My work focuses on building ideas at the intersection of creativity, technology, and strategy, with an emphasis on using AI as a tool to enhance, not replace, creative thinking.
I’ve worked in agency environments on brands such as Ford, Dell, IKEA, and Coca-Cola, contributing to CRM, social, and digital experiences while brainstorming where AI can meaningfully support creative workflows and brand systems. Currently, I work at VML MAP, a subsidiary of WPP, where I joined as a Digital Designer and gradually expanded my role through hands-on experimentation with emerging AI tools.
What began as side projects quickly evolved into AI-driven prototypes, workflows, and concept systems that supported internal design teams and helped spark new creative directions. I’m driven by a genuine love for building, especially creating tools and prototypes with AI that help people feel more creative, capable, and inspired. I don’t love staying in a box; instead, I enjoy thinking beyond defined roles to help companies innovate and creatives thrive. I naturally bridge left-brain and right-brain thinking, combining technical and logical reasoning with imagination and strong visual intuition, and I enjoy acting as a connector and collaborator to help teams align vision, execution, and experimentation.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me rock climbing, surfing, playing soccer, learning about space and AI, experimenting on my electric guitar, or chasing good coffee, good books, and new places. I’m always learning, building, and exploring, both creatively and technically, and I aim to bring that same curiosity and energy into everything I make.
