AI Brand Brain

Created a Figma plugin that analyzes design components for brand guideline adherence and assigns a compliance grade in real time. The tool also integrates an LLM chat, allowing designers to ask questions, brainstorm ideas, and get contextual guidance without leaving their design workflow.

This Visual Brain is an intelligent Figma plugin that leverages AI to automatically analyze designs against multiple profile brand guidelines, ensuring perfect brand compliance in real-time. This tool helps the Creative Experience team maintain design coherence throughout the process, increasing efficiency and improving both speed and output quality.

  • Brand guidelines lived in decks/docs instead of the design flow

  • Designers had to context-switch to check rules

  • Inconsistencies happened across files, teams, or timelines

  • Feedback cycles were slow and repetitive

The initial sketch

The idea started on a notebook paper after observing the team’s workflow and ideating where AI could be implemented to improve efficiency.

I saw an opportunity for real-time brand alignment in the workspace the designers use- Figma.

Why AI + Figma specifically?

  • Designers don’t want more tools, they want less friction

  • Brand thinking should happen during design, not after

  • AI can act as a “brand brain,” not just a checker

Expanding from Single-Brand to Multi-Brand Intelligence

From Ford-Specific to Brand-Agnostic

Originally built for Ready. Set. Ford., this plugin functioned as a Ford-specific brand assistant inside Figma.

As the concept evolved, it became clear the real opportunity wasn’t just helping one brand, it was creating a system that could support many.

I introduced a multi-brand architecture with a dropdown-based selector, allowing designers to switch between brand profiles instantly. Each profile carries its own guidelines, tone, and compliance logic.

This turned the product from a campaign tool into a scalable platform, shifting the focus from a single brand’s needs to a universal design workflow.

Solution and Impact

The concept was reviewed and endorsed by the CTO of VML MAP. I then presented the system directly to the Agentic AI team in Copenhagen, demonstrating how brand intelligence can be embedded into creative workflows. Following these discussions, leadership identified the approach as a scalable model, with plans to expand its use across multiple brands and global teams within the organization.

The Brand Brain AI embeds brand intelligence directly into Figma, guiding creative decisions in real time. By replacing static brand documents with contextual, in-flow guidance, the system reduced inconsistencies, minimized rework, and accelerated design output while remaining flexible enough to scale across multiple brands and global teams.
